New homes built
with old souls
Homes of character
Built for generations
Copper & Co. is a design and building practice devoted to houses with a sense of permanence.
We draw from historic architecture without being bound by it, pairing enduring materials and traditional craft with the way families live today.
The houses we admire most have a quality that is difficult to name. Their proportions feel settled. Their materials improve with age. This is the quality we look for relentlessly in our own work.
We build with natural stone, solid wood, leaded glass, handmade tile and materials chosen as much for how they will age as for how they look when installed.
The aim is not to recreate an old house - it is to build a new one with depth, warmth and a lasting sense of place.
Design & Build
One vision, from drawing to completion.
Copper & Co. brings design and construction into a single practice.
This matters more than it may seem. A designer working apart from construction can make decisions without fully understanding their cost or complexity. A builder entering after the design is complete may have little room to improve upon it.
We work differently.
Construction knowledge informs the design from the beginning: where to spend, where to simplify, and how to achieve an idea beautifully without losing sight of the budget. Once building begins, the design remains active. Details can be studied at full scale, materials can be reconsidered in place, and good opportunities are not lost simply because they weren't anticipated on paper.
